Our Lips Are Sealed

We are excited to announce the next show in the Galo Art Gallery with My Dog Sighs.
The solo show ‘Our Lips Are Sealed’ will capture the melancholy and isolation that his street work is subjected to, an earworm of an old song embedded itself to the point where My Dog Sighs could no longer ignore it. Originally a hit for Fun Boy Three in the UK and the Gogos in the US in the 80's the lyrics of the song, penned by Terry Hall, became the muse and the title for this show and the artwork in it. 

Rescuing the trash of daily existence  and breathing new life into it before leaving it to fend for itself as part of his Free Art Friday project, MDS's cans cry out for someone to love them. Heart strings are there to be tugged. 
His reflective eyes bounce narratives back and forth between the viewer, artist and subject. Who is it in the reflection? What story is being acted out? Can we participate, or are we just a voyeur into the window of an unknown soul?  All these answers are to be found on the walls of Galo Art Gallery 7th March 2015.
